Soccer Star

The soccer season ended last Saturday, not a day too soon. Abe liked seeing his teammates (Alissa and Isabelle, especially), but is a ways away from being excited about "organized" sports just yet. He was rather excited about this medal he got after the last game.




One of the best things about this soccer season was Coach Keith. Keith is my good friend Kim's husband and he is a big teddy bear. The kids loved him. He was a great coach who was laid back and made it fun for the kids. My favorite thing he did at the end of the game was tell the kids how proud he was of them and then had them cheer for the other team. This is Abe and Keith making scary soccer faces to intimidate the opposition (cupcake and all).



This is my best friend Sherry's little girl Isabelle, who is 6 months younger than Abe and his betrothed. Okay, so we know they will probably end up just being friends, but that doesn't stop Sherry and I from angling to get ourselves officially "related" one of these days. Isabelle is holding what competed for excitement over the medal --- cupcakes after the game!
