It was a busy summer, full of ups and downs.  First the surprise of finding out we were expecting a baby, and then the very dark time of losing the baby just before the 4th of July.  One of the biggest spiritual battles of my life.  So thankful for Dar and friends and family who rallied around me and prayed me through it.  It's hard when you're in that dark spot to ever imagine being out of it, but God is good.  Time does heal.  Loved living in our new house with a private back yard and quiet street for the boys to ride their bikes.  Got to know our neighbors and started feeling more like this was home.  Great trip to California to see the CA Mathisons.  Another trip out to be with Kelli after Grandma's passing (treasured time with my nieces and nephew, as well as sis and bro).  Dar and I competed in a triathlon, though not with much training..... Celebrated John's 75th Birthday.  And lots of just hanging out.  Blessed summer.
