Dar's brother and his family came to stay with us in Illinois for ten days before we headed out to Colorado to surprise the parents for their anniversary. Yes, we somehow thought that driving in one car with four adults and three kids (ages 4, 2 1/2, and 1) would be a good idea. Actually it wasn't nearly as bad as we thought it would be. Abe and Reese love each other so much, and fight like brother and sister. I am confident that they will always be close. Reese calls her "My Abe."
We spent a weekend in Chicago (the picture above is the goofy mirrors on Navy Pier), just hanging around the city and going to a Cubs fan. We have converted our CA family to Cubs fans (although I think Kelli still needs some Cubs gear).
The next weekend we went down to visit Aunt Judi and Uncle Mike in Southern Illinois. The kids love Aunt Judi and Uncle Mike and we all had fun playing games.
