Abe and I watched parts of the Inauguration on Monday, and somehow we ended up in a conversation about the secret service agents and their responsibilities.
Abe: I think maybe I should get some secret service agents....
Me: Are you feeling like you need a little extra security?
Abe: No.... do you think they do your homework for you?
Me: No.
Abe: Yeah, but they could make Jack and Charley do my homework for me.
Me: Why would you want your little brothers to do your homework for you??? They can't even read! They'd get everything wrong!
Abe: Yeah, but they'd have to do the corrections.
And that's when I decided to gracefully leave the hypothetical argument, the first of many, I'm sure.
Amidst the chaos, there is peace. Well, not really peace, but lots of laughter.
