The Rest of Day 7

Since we were at the park early for breakfast at the castle, we beat the crowds to some of the rides. Abe insisted on riding Dumbo for Reese, because he remembered that she loves that movie (or at least did, a year and a half ago). I love this second picture because you can see Jack's fat lip. He fell on the playground at Pooh's Playful Spot and wow, did it bleed. He had a fat lip for days afterward.

Then we headed over to get Mickey's autograph and let Jack meet him up close. As you can see from this picture, Jack was just as unsure about Mickey as he was about the Little Einsteins. He never cried, but never flashed his charming Jack smile. Mickey played peek-a-boo and they got a bit of a grin.

Next we headed over by "Pirates of the Carribean" to let Abe do the Pirates League. It is supposed to be a pretty awesome experience.... they roll dice to figure out your pirate name, and then you get dressed up like a pirate and get your face painted. And then you get a sword and a little bit of treasure. We got as far as the dice rolling (shown below), and learned the pirate cannonball handshake before we realized Abe was looking a little nervous. After talking with him, we realized he was suffering through the rest of it just to get the sword. Can you say "weapon obsessed?" So, we compromised on opting out of the pirate's league and getting the $5 sword instead. Fine with us.....

The crowds were getting kind of heavy with the holiday weekend, so we decided to head back to the hotel to pack and swim. Abe did the dragon water slide, and even though I didn't get a picture, it was awesome! They had a lot of fun in the water. We headed back to the Magic Kingdom to ride the "Jungle Cruise" and "Pirates of the Carribean" two more times. It was fantastically not busy, so we even had the boat to ourselves one time. We caught the Magic Kingdom fireworks, and then both boys fell asleep in the stroller so Dar and I took the monorail over to Epcot for a date. We caught the fireworks there as well, and then enjoyed some time in France since it was extra magic hours. We found a little cafe and had a great sandwich and strawberry tart. We had some great conversation and decided it was the perfect way to end our last night at Disney. Two precious boys peacefully snuggled in the stroller, one babe in the belly, and the most fantastic husband in the world.
