Did you know army guys melt if you place them too close to the candles? This was an experiment performed by Abe and Dar on the unofficial birthday cupcakes. Abe's actual birthday was a rainy, but fun, day. Aunt Doris and Grandma came over and we went out for lunch. Since it was pouring, we skipped the park and came back to decorate the dining room for his birthday party.
Here's Abe on the bike he got from us and both sets of grandparents. He is a pro at riding around these days.
The birthday boy chose sushi for his birthday dinner, and we had lemon cupcakes with a helicopter on top for dessert. Sweet day. Can't believe he is 6 already.
Oh, and Daddy surprised Abe with doughnuts for breakfast! A pretty messy early morning treat, though well worth it!
