Wild At Heart

Dar and Chris (who is married to my best friend Sherry) went to a men's retreat weekend called "Wild at Heart" last weekend.  They had a great time learning and talking about being the men God wants them to be.  The retreat is fantastic -- our good friends Pete and Wanda Hanssen hold the retreat monthly at their home, and it is an incredible idea and experience (you might remember me attending the Women's Wild Weekend the past two summers).  I'm so glad Dar and Chris got to go together.

They had a blast throwing knives and hatchets, shooting a variety of guns, riding four-wheelers, skeet shooting, and paintballing.  Dar even broke his arm for good measure.  Yep, three months after breaking it riding his bike, he broke the same arm paintballing.  Still no cast, but darn it.  He's pretty bummed.  We have a lot of projects that would be a lot easier with two arms, but lucky for us, we have three between the two of us.  :)  God must want me to assist.

Dar and Chris are awesome husbands and dads, and I respect them both so much for wanting to attend the retreat and getting so much out of it.  Broken arm and all.
