just turned seven and is the last days of K/1st grade. I just can't believe it. He is an awesome guy, and I love spending time with him. We are taking a quick break from school so he can help Jack build a train track (he's always a loving brother, but his "helpfulness" increases tenfold during school).
Yesterday, he and Jack were working on a "project" of sorts (something about root beer bottle tops and a cardboard box), and I heard him say "If Bert and Ernie can do it, we can do it." Hmmmmmm.
Abe decided he was ready for the bunk bed to be put back together, so we rearranged the boys' room last night and they were thrilled. Abe had a bad dream a little before midnight, so he came in and asked if he could just sleep on the floor in his room in his sleeping bag. As we were getting him settled, Jack woke up disoriented in the new set-up and started crying. He wanted to sleep with Abe on the floor. Two newly arranged beds, no boys in them. Oh well. On our way out of the room, we heard Abe say to his crying little brother, "Jack, do you want to hold hands?" LOVE those boys and their hearts.
This morning, as Abe was heading upstairs to play with Jack, he said to me "Me and Jack are going to pretend we're brothers........ 16-year-old brothers." Wonder what that entails??

Awwww! too cute! great stories! Our 3 guys shared a room until the oldest was 9th grade! They stayed super close that way because they would talk every night. Fun to listen in on the converstions and hear all the laughing!!! (and burping and fart noises ;-) hahaha)
