Christmas

No matter what this picture says, we had a wonderful Christmas.... we learned our lesson last year about keeping it low key so that we actually have time to spend just being together, instead of spending the days leading up to Christmas baking, cooking, and wrapping.  We did bake on Christmas Eve, but it was fun and not too much.  We ordered pasta in for Christmas Eve dinner (as opposed to the 6 hours it took us to prepare dinner last year). And Dar and I were able to have a drink and watch a movie on Christmas Eve after we put the boys to bed.  It was wonderful.  We did miss out on the Christmas Eve service at our church because it was right during naptime and because we got a significant amount of snow on the 23rd and 24th.  But, we read the Christmas Story and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus... which was probably more our pace this year anyway.  And Derby Mow (Abe chose Derby, Jack chose Mow -- I wonder why...) came to live at our house.  He is an Elf on The Shelf that watches over the boys and reports back to Santa every night.  He changes positions and the boys have to find his hiding spot every morning.  We've had a lot of fun with him.
